Welcome to Community Development & Humanitarian Network (CoDHNet)

The Community Development and Humanitarian Network (CoDHNet) is a non-governmental organization established in 2011. We are committed to promoting sustainable development and humanitarian assistance across the Horn of Africa, focusing on addressing poverty, empowering vulnerable communities, and advocating for human rights and good governance. Through collaborative efforts with local communities, we aim to improve livelihoods, promote peaceful coexistence, and respond effectively to humanitarian crises. The key strategy of CoDHNet is to empower people to help themselves and advocate for the services they are entitled to.
The organization is guided by International Humanitarian Code of Conduct and adhers “do not harm principles”.

Working directly with beneficiary communities and their representatives to achieve human rights, sustainable humanitarian services and equitable socio-economic development that promote peace and justice. There is need to empower the people so that they can shoulder the responsibility of transforming their own lives better and more humane life as God’s creation.

Education & Vocational Skills Training Programme.
CoDHNet believes that promoting education is one of the most important means to overcome and fight ignorance and poverty in regions marred by protected conflict and political instability.

Economic Development through Women and Youth Empowerment
Currently, the world is home to the largest generation of youth. Whereby the youth demonstrate the inventiveness, creativity and energy to create positive solutions for themselves as well as their communities and their full potential remains untapped.

Environmental Protection and Climate Change.
Climate change and environmental degradation are a threat multiplier for displaced people and it is one of the defining challenges of our time. CoDHNet is committed to taking Action!

Protection & Human Rights
CoDHNet works in conflict-affected areas, along displacement routes. We committed to save lives, alleviate suffering, and maintain human dignity in the face of man-made crises and natural disasters in Somalia.
